SAT Classes

Sexton is offering a twelve-hour SAT course to prepare your student for the SAT. This course will introduce students to the world of online and adaptive testing. Students will learn the most effective test-taking strategies, the organization of the sections, how to attack each of the question types, and the most commonly tested topics – from colons to connecting words to systems of equations. In addition, students will learn how to use the built-in Desmos calculator, an enormous resource to improve math accuracy and efficiency. After taking this course, your student will be well-equipped with the tools and confidence necessary to maximize their performance.

In preparation for the December SAT, sessions will be held on:
Sundays starting September 27th from 6:30-8:00 PM EST

Sexton is offering a self-paced PSAT course to prepare students for the PSAT this October. This course is designed to give students a complete overview of the PSAT exam. By participating, students will learn what to expect with digital adaptive SAT testing, how to utilize the Bluebook platform, current SAT strategies and when to use them, and the foundations of the most commonly tested topics. The skills and tips learned during this course will undoubtedly make students less anxious, more confident, and prepared for the PSAT.

Students can take the course anytime that works for them!

Desmos proficiency is key to getting your best possible score on the Math section of the SAT. In this asynchronous course, Ben Sexton teaches students the tips and tricks to using the Desmos Calculator for the greatest impact. This easy to navigate course focuses on strategies to tackle both SAT Math modules with efficiency and confidence. By mastering this content, you will undoubtedly increase your SAT Math score.

ACT Classes

Sexton is offering an eight-session, twelve-hour ACT course to prepare students for the enhanced ACT. Our course gives students a complete strategic overview of all four sections of the ACT and shows students how to use the best resources available. Covering the most commonly tested topics – from comma rules to probability to identifying independent variables – this class helps students maximize their score improvements efficiently on a test that has a large amount of content, with time management being a crucial aspect of the class and the test. Participation in this course will provide a boost to your student’s confidence and score.

Sexton is offering a virtual six-hour intensive ACT course to prepare your student for the ACT. This four-session workshop is designed to give your student a complete overview of all sections of the ACT. By participating in this course, students will become familiar with the most widely applicable ACT strategies and also improve their knowledge of the most commonly tested topics. Covering the most commonly tested topics – from comma rules to probability to identifying independent variables – this class helps students maximize their score improvements efficiently on a test that has a large amount of content, with time management being a crucial aspect of the class and the test. The skills and tips learned during this intensive workshop will provide a strong foundation for your student’s ACT preparation, whether your student is a newcomer to the ACT or wants a review of the major topics.

In preparation for the December ACT, sessions will be held on: Sundays, starting November 8th, from 5:00-6:30 PM EST.

Sexton Test Prep is a private tutoring company based in Wellesley, Massachusetts just outside of Boston. We offer one-on-one, in-home or online test preparation and academic tutoring services for the SAT, ACT, ISEE, and SSAT. Tutoring takes place in your home, at the local library, or online. We currently serve students all over the world but see clients in person from Wellesley, Needham, Natick, Newton, Dover, Sherborn, Weston, Westwood, Norwood, Medfield, Wayland, and Framingham.
