This course will introduce students to the world of online, adaptive testing, as well as to the shorter, simpler format of the new test. Students will learn the most effective test-taking strategies, the new organization of the sections, how to attack each of the question types, and the most commonly tested topics – from colons to connecting words to systems of equations. In addition, students will learn how to use the built-in Desmos calculator, an enormous resource to improve math accuracy and efficiency. After taking this course, your student will be well-equipped with the tools and confidence necessary to maximize their performance on this new test.

By participating in this course, students will become familiar with Digital SAT strategies, improve their knowledge of the most commonly tested topics, and learn how to utilize Desmos (the powerful built-in Calculator). The skills and tips learned during this workshop will provide a strong foundation for your student’s SAT preparation and the confidence necessary to help maximize their performance on this new test.

Sexton is offering an eight-session, twelve-hour, ACT course to prepare your student for the April ACT. The course gives your student a complete strategic overview of all four sections of the ACT and shows students how to use the best resources available. Covering the most commonly tested topics – from comma rules to probability to identifying independent variables – this class helps students maximize their score improvements efficiently on a test that has an enormous amount of content, with time management a crucial aspect of the class and the test. Participation in this course will provide a strong boost to your student’s confidence and score.

This four-night workshop gives your student a run-through of the best test-taking strategies for the ACT and the best study resources available. Some of the most commonly tested content is covered, but this course is best for a student looking to build a foundation for test-taking strategy, do a quick brush up right before a repeat test date, or enhance their time management on a notoriously fast-paced test. Your student will leave with the facts and approaches they need right at the front of their minds.
