1-on-1 Tutoring: Standardized tests are a significant factor in admissions at the vast majority of U.S. colleges and universities, so it’s imperative to reach your highest score potential. Regardless of how you score, one-on-one tutoring is the best way to maximize your results. Sexton Test Prep uses every practice problem you do to identify and strengthen your areas of weakness because we want to bring you the most individualized and comprehensive experience as possible.
Sections Offered: We offer help with all four sections of the ACT: English (Grammar), Math, Reading, and Science. We customize your study plan to encompass as many or few sections of the ACT as you need.
Number of Sessions: Based on many years of score data, students who complete 12 or more hours of test prep have score improvements that are almost 100% higher than those achieved by students who complete fewer than 12 hours. The students who saw the best score improvements almost all completed more than 15 hours of preparation.
Test Materials: All ACT students at Sexton Test Prep will receive a copy of the Official ACT Study Guide (the only preparation guide that contains only real ACT questions) and a copy of the Sexton ACT Guide.
Test Planning: There are so many tests, dates, and prep materials that it can be difficult to make a game plan. Contact us to learn more about:
When you let us do the planning for you, you can focus your energy on the test itself.
The SSAT and ISEE are a crucial component of private and independent school admission. These tests are also often some of students’ first experiences with high-stakes or timed standardized testing. As such, individualized coaching can have a large and meaningful impact on student performance.
Our tutors have experience with all levels of both exams and can help your student understand and conquer these important tests, which are unlike the tests that students encounter in the classroom. Your student will enter these tests knowing exactly what to look for and what to do.

The PSAT and Pre-ACT are pre-tests for the SAT and ACT, respectively. Students usually take the Pre-ACT during their sophomore year or the PSAT at the beginning of their junior year. These tests help give students an idea about how they might perform on actual SAT and ACT tests. The PSAT also serves as a qualifying test for National Merit Scholarships.
While most students do not do heavy preparation for these tests, a few preparatory sessions or a workshop can help students get used to these test formats, styles, and pacing. One of our experienced test preparation tutors can help your student go into these tests feeling comfortable and confident.
