Connor is a master’s of arts candidate in Psychology at Brandeis University, studying the cognition and neuroscience behind how students learn – and he puts that to work in every session. He believes strong tutoring does two things at once: it delivers clear instruction and teaches students to think through problems on their own. Over more than six years of tutoring, that balance has shaped how he helps students master coursework and prepare for the SAT. His approach grew out of psychology, which he studied at Bryant University while tutoring chemistry, biology, psychology, neuroscience, and math at its Academic Center for Excellence. He explains concepts thoroughly, then coaches students toward the confidence to apply them independently. Outside of work, Connor competes in track and field, plays chess, and is learning the piano.
