Categories: Tutors

Thomas grew up in Chelmsford, where he was a tri-captain of his high school math team, which won repeatedly at the local, regional, and national levels; Thomas even made the second level of the Math Olympiad as a junior. He has an MBA and Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science from RPI and a Master’s of Science from University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Thomas has been tutoring at the high school level for twenty-five years, and he enjoys making connections with his students, making the lessons fun, and driving his students to outperform their peers. Thomas loves not only to tutor but to learn, and he keeps his skills up-to-date: he has taken eleven classes at Northeastern University to stay current in computer science; one class at Boston University in Switching Theory and Logic Design; and two at Harvard University, one in Analog Electronics and one in Communications. Outside of tutoring, Thomas enjoys hobbies of archery, gemology (Thomas has collected rocks, gems and minerals since he was a child and has been a jeweler at several stores), and foreign languages, having studied Spanish, Italian and French as well as having worked in Canada and Italy. He has also earned his Triple Crown in Toastmasters – a nonprofit that teaches public speaking and leadership skills – and has held several roles in his club, including multiple terms as President.
